Another important program of Renton Rotary is our "Teacher of the Month" program.  This recognition program was started in 1988-89 during the reign of Rotary President Don Jacobson.  Each month, three outstanding Renton School District teachers are picked by their peers. The winning teachers are all given $200 for classroom projects and expenses.  It also provides these exceptional teachers an opportunity to get out of the classroom and enjoy a regular Rotary luncheon where they are all introduced as honored guests to the Rotary members.
